On Friday at BlizzCon, hero 29 was revealed during the animated short “Reunion” starring everyone’s favorite cowboy – Jesse McCree. Ashe is a damage hero who looks to be entering the PTR hopefully Monday per Jeff Kaplan.
Lore
As with most Overwatch characters, we really do not know too much about Ashe. As for now, we only have the Reunion short and her origin story.
Kit
Ashe’s gun, the Viper, is a fully hitscan semi-automatic rifle. It may fire quick, successive shots, or if you aim down sights it fires a bolt-action sniper shot which also does increased damage. The aim down sights shot has no damage falloff, but the primary fire does.
Her Dynamite ability is a throwable explosive that can be shot mid-air to explode. When it explodes it does a burst of damage and lights all of the enemies within its damage radius on fire, dealing damage over time.
Her Coach Gun is where her mobility lies. She may shoot it at the ground, propelling herself upwards or at an enemy which launches both them and her back. Ashe takes no damage from her Coach Gun.
Her ultimate, B.O.B., is a 1200 HP robot that runs in and launches enemies in front of him into the air, then he stays in place and fires at those around him. His lock is similar to that of an aimbot or Torbjorn’s turret. He lasts for 12 seconds before jumping away. B.O.B. acts like a 7thplayer. He can be healed, slept, bubbled, nano boosted, and even contest a point.
